AA vs MR

I know this is a very broad question but how do AA miles compare to Amex membership rewards? I was looking through both of them and it seems if you only want to fly, AA miles may be better

However, for other things like hotels and car rentals, it seems you get more for your MR points vs AA miles

What do you guys think?

Even for flying, MR "could be" better. Remember, you can transfer them to BA, UA and CO (till Oct), and Delta. Both BA and Delta have transfer bonuses which make the MR points even better.

if they both have decent sign up bonuses, & you can swing it, get both....good luck...
