addicted to miles

I was aprroved this month for the cit visa, citi Amex and the Chase Continental one pass cards. I was thinking of applying for the chase sapphire
card. however concerned about too many inquires on my credit score. Any idea how long I should wait?

I'm curious too because I've opened the exact same cards and you have + 1

Feb 10: Delta SkyMiles AmEx
June 15: Chase Continental
June 25: Citi AA Visa + AmEx (this is when I really started reading the forums and became obsessed with the idea of churning - I wish I'd known more earlier!)

Some people on here say that Chase is more likely to approve you if it's been a month since your last application - 6 months is even better, but there's lots of anecdotal evidence of people saying they've been approved for multiple Chase cards within the same week, etc. So I'm not sure there's anyway to know if you'll get the Sapphire until you try for it... and if you get turned down, you can always call their reconsideration line. They seem to be really generous in approving you if you call them.

I'm trying to prioritize between a Citi AA Visa Business card (75k), which I could apply for at the end of Aug, or the AmEx Premiere Gold (hopefully 75k if they bump the bonus), the Chase Sapphire (50k), or ALL of the above on the same day. I don't have a sense of whether that would be too much or not.

You should get a better sense of your credit score, e.g. the total number of inquiries in past 3 months etc. There are a few threads dedicated to chase approval/denials, one such thread I just read myself is at:

Generally YMMV, but your odds increase the more time you let lag between applications.

I'm at 3 chase cards in the past 5 months...

Continental 50k
BA 100k
Sapphire 50k

Within the last 3 months, I applied for the following and was approved:

Chase British Airways 100k
Chase Continental 50k
Citi Visa 75k
Citi Amex 75k
Chase Sapphire Preferred 50k
Alaska air visa signature 40k

Waiting on approval or denial on Citi Biz applied on Saturday. Called Citi and they say they need one more day to process. I asked if there is any problems with my credit report or credit card pull recently...They said "no" so hopefully I will be approved.

Really want the SPG 30k but better not press my luck.....Surprised I wasn't denied for one or more of the above approved cards.

Prior my credit card application spree as shown above, I never applied for any cards for at least 2 or 3 years.

The answer is probably different cases for different people. Also depends on who checks on your application ( I think)

Thanks for the info. I think I will wait for two months and apply for both the Sapphire & the milage explorer cards at the same time
