N00b question: Which of the following are the best?
 

Now that I'm done with my application streak (~400K, 2 months) I'm looking to use one card where I can accumulate miles. I'm definitely NOT applying for anything else so my choices are the BA Visa, OnePass Plus, Sapphire and Citi AMEX. I really want to use the OnePass Plus to accumulate CO miles (plus the two PC passes every year end) but I'm wondering whether at the end of the year, will Chase credit the fee and let me keep the card, especially if I use it often? I'm sure I can blackmail a supervisor, it's not like I haven't done it before;)

I got the onepass plus card last year and when I went to cancel last month, the yearly fee had already posted. I called in to see if they could reverse the fee and close the account down but they offered me either 10,000 miles or $100 credit. I took the $100 credit which waived the fee. I think I only put maybe $1,000 dollars on that card within that first year so I was surprised that they offered me incentives to keep the card. The card probably won't see the light of day until next year when I go to cancel the card again. Amex SPG is my go to card with Sapphire card as my backup when places don't take Amex

Why does your usage of the CO card depend on their waiving the fee for the card at the end of the year?

Worst case is that you use it and they don't offer to waive the fee and you close the card and move on. No?

I've started to use the CO card more because they've been mailing 1.5x and 2x miles promotions to me. But if they won't waive the fee for me I'll be onto another card as fast as you can say AA.
