Taking advantage of award zone irregularities?
 

A while ago United M+ considered Kazakhstan as a part of Europe… So you could do one zone award from anywhere in 'ordinary' Europe to Kazakhstan (M+ award) and then one zone award from Kazahstan to somewhere else in Asia (for example US Air award, or any other program which puts Kazahstan in Asia).

Are there still some irregularities like this to take advantage of?

If there are, the best way to alert the airlines (hotels, banks, credit cards) is to post them on a public forum and then brag extensively. Repeat with multiple copycat blogs.

BD KTM abuse is being shut down (and then some) as we speak. Intraasia DL award value is no more. Intraasia UA is on the way out. There is a long list.
Common sense really - search, find smth that works for you and take advantage of it. Quietly.
