Got my 75 K points. Interesting thing though I did not actualy spend $1,000/3 months. I spent $600 or so, but I had over $1,000 in actual charges ( I returned several items ). I emailed the AmEx customer service and asked for the points anyways. They either did not check that I technically spent under $1,000 or did not mind the returns, and I was issued 75 K points.
Now where should I transfer it....?

I got my points accellerated to xfer to CO
I was targeted for the 75,000 back in May. The RSVP code that I received in the mail expired June 19. I was traveling overseas and didn't return home until after the RSVP code had expired.
I called customer service to see if I could still qualify. They agreed, applied one of the codes (I forget which one) to my account, and said to call back after meeting my spend to have the points manually applied.
I met the spend about a month ago. When I did that, 10,000 points posted to my account automatically. I think it's because I was in the system for the 10,000 point bonus. So I called to have the rest of the 75,000 point applied and they said I had to wait 6-8 weeks. This was frustrating, because that meant that I wouldn't be able to transfer the points to CO, which was my plan all along with this promotion.
I called CS several times. It was suggested that I could borrow points, but then I was turned down for that because I haven't been a member for six months.
Eventually a CSR agreed to escalate my case, but said I wouldn't hear a response for 7-10 days via snail mail That was 3 days ago (and three days before the deadline to transfer to CO).
Today, realizing it was literally the last day I could transfer them, I tried calling the Executive Office (800-297-6197) and very politely explained my situation. I had to hold for about 15 minutes, but then the rep returned and said she had credited the 75,000 points! And this is in addition to the 10,000 that originally posted, automatically, when I met the spend.
I couldn't be happier.
Man, when you get a win like this, the adrenaline is like winning a big bet at a casino. No wonder this stuff is so addicting.
I just transferred 86,000 points to CO via the Amex web site. I had to pay $55 in taxes. I was given the option to pay the tax with about 10,000 points, but I opted to pay with cash, since $55 for 10,000 CO miles is a good deal.

anyone have successful of getting 75k point for the bonus code 5985? I called in customer services on July to noted the code. Now, I have met the requirement, member rewards wouldn't honor the code. I have call several time and send SM everyday, but the same person declining my request. How can I get the point?

Got my 75k expedited tonight just in time for the transfer to CO!
I had an SM from before 9/1/11 that said in very specific terms that I would receive the points after meeting the spend threshold which I'm sure helped.
UPDATE: Girlfriend also had the points put in her account and she didn't have an SM...only the notation over the phone

Do not SM them . Call. MR and ask to speak with a supervisor and make sure you have someone in the USA.
IF it was noted on your account , a top person should be able to get it for you. I don't think it will be immediately posted.but they will honor IMO if you get to someone senior and you had it noted and met spend in required time.
I have heard a lot of people complaining , but I don't think anyone whose account was annotated was turned down by a supervisor or higher
Everyone who said they were told to wait , have not posted failure to get them. Either they got them and did not post back,or are still waiting as
They were told.
Amex is an honorable company and will do the right thing, if you speak on the phone to the right person

Read the "Not honored" thread - Plenty of failure reported in that thread in the AMEX forum.
I was helping a person via PM - he had his account notated, but was shot down 4 times even after talking to the Executive Office.

Another success story here! Got my account notated with the bump before all the issues started happening. After meeting the spend, immediately send an SM asking for my points and a couple of hours later, 75k were in my MR account!
My only regret is that I dind't get the other Amex charge cards when bumping was still easy!

Your blind trust / faith may soon meet the ugly reality if you haven't gotten yours yet. Things have turned to progressively worse after Labor Day holiday when AMEX has made the decision to not honor offers notated to non-targeted accounts. At first talking to Exec Office may still help, but not any more.

Happy my friend you may be right. I am still hoping that the person that I spoke with over 3 times will come through. I know she is going to BAT for me for certain.
In the event her bosses put the Kebab on what I am entitled to , and overrule her requests, I am prepared to fight on.
What I have in my favor is over 25 years of loyalty , and over 300k MR which would indicate that I spent a sizeable amount of personal money with Amex, and never had any other card but Amex for that time. As a matter of fact I have had Platinum for over 20 years, and have prolly paid over $6000 in annual fees , which are 100% profit for Amex.
I have another Visa card that I use for emergencies here in Greece when I run into someone that does not accept Amex. In the USA I refuse to frequent any merchant that does not accept Amex. I have had this Visa card for 10 years and don't think I have spent $1500 total on it.
I just went to the thread that you mentioned and see that as of yesterday , Air Force flyer got his bump for his account noted in august.
Also High Flyer2s account has been sent up the line And he mentions Amex looking at late august and sept applications.
My PRG app/approval was the first week of august. Also my Amex Biz approval was mid August so hopefully I got in under the wire.
Also mention of people being jerked around but I don't know when their cards were approved or bump requested.
Being the ultra cautious person I am , I have had multiple conversations with multiple CSRs whose names , locations , depts and dates I have noted , and reiterated the terms of my account in every conversation. If i asked them to go to the tape, it would be longer than the missing Watergate tapes of the Nixon Era. I have eliminated Amexs claim of plausible deniability.
I went into this process with good intentions, and hopefully I will come out of it with good results. In case anyone thinks that not being targeted for something and then expecting to get it is not good intentions, I compare it to not being in Bloomingdales or Macy's when an item you bought had a reduced price. The good stores have a price match guarantee and Amex had the opportunity to tell people you are not eligible for this promotion when you activated the card and asked for the promo code to be added , as DL did to me 2 times.
I will remain cautiously optimistic .
The saying "membership has it's privileges " will be tested . Only time will tell, and time is running out !

I opted back in to receive CC offers in the mail about a week ago, and the first one I got was an offer from AMEX for the personal Gold card offering me 50k MR...I was planning on calling and asking for the bump-up to 75k, but the posts above have taken some of the wind out of my sails; I honestly don't even want the card if they're pulling shenanigans like this.

I'm not sure what kind of shenanigans you're talking about. The standard offer on this card is 50K MR points and first-year fee waived. They had a special offer for ONE DAY ONLY for 75K if you applied that day. If you didn't, I don't see why you would expect them to give you the offer anyway.
