Guys - curious about this. Does Amex post points 6-8 weeks after you meet spend requirement or after you meet spend requirement and pay off the bill?

My bill is not due for another 3 weeks but I don't mind paying it off early

People are just going with the regular 10k from their website and then calling to get the 6661 code applied. I do not believe there is a direct link anymore just call and apply the code.

You should be fine. I got bumps on both Gold and Platinum in the past 2 months. I'm waiting for the extra 75K to post from the Platinum but my account was notated. My wife got both already including a double 25K from her original Platinum offer. I did have one rep say since I got the bump on PRG I can't get it on Platinum but another agent said she was wrong.

For those talking about PRG referrals, how much does the referrer get, and is it targeted or can anyone refer?

It's on my Amex page when I log in. It is 10K per referral. Platinum is 5K.

I just got the same thing. I called and after 20 minutes of questioining, I got a OUR SYSTEM CANNOT PROCESS THIS answer from the person on the phone. They will contact me in 7-10 days .

I applied the bonus IDs on both the PRG and biz Gold before receiving and activating the cards. I already have a couple AMEX cards, so I gave them one number and they looked up my new, yet-to-receive ones.

Had to talk to a few people in order to get the 75K points but it did work. I applied on Sunday, and called today to request the bump. First person I spoke with shot me down and said this was not a current offer, and it could not be applied to my account. I called again, and the first person I spoke with wasn't sure so they transferred me to another person who was able to apply the points. If at first you don't succeed, try try again!

I received my PRG card yesterday (applied through the 15k for $1000 spend in 3 months offer) and when I called to activate the card, I asked the CSR if they could apply promo 6661. She asked if I had an invitation code and of course I told her no. She said that without an invitation, she could not extend that promo to me. I thanked her and completed my activation.

I than sent a secure message stating how many years I had been with them, how much I appreciated our relationship in those years and how I looked forward to continuing our business relationship. I asked to confirm that I was eligible for promo 6661 and today got an email saying they would apply promo code 6661.

Woohoo!!! Now to figure out when I should ask for the other promo codes for authorized users and 15 transactions.

Got the bump using 5894 (from 25k after $1000 spend to 75k after $500) a few weeks ago right after activating my personal PRG.

I've spent the $500 and paid it off, but I am 0 for 2 in trying to get my bonus expedited over the phone. They are telling me I have to wait 6-8 weeks and that the system will not let them override this.

Should I keep trying, or do I truly have to wait? Wanted to transfer these to CO.

Have you tried sending a SM? I think they have changed their procedure on this. Some have reported the reps giving the bonus points in whole instead of the difference. So now it seems they make you wait until 6-8 weeks after the initial bonus points hit. My wife asked for the points to be expedited and they were then she ended up with 25K extra (from Plat). I've tried to get the bonus points expedited too but no luck yet. I may try a SM.
