I applied and approved on 8/1. Received card yesterday and activated online. Called 800-297-3276 and spoke to representative who verified bonus code 5985 for 75k points after 1k spend. Agent said it was notated on my account. The points will post 8 weeks after the 1k spend date, mentioned they would post automatically, but to call back and they will manually add if they do not post on their own.

I applied on 8/3 and was approved. I immediately sent in a SM through my existing account and I was told my account was too new for them to look it up. I then called in that day and had them overnight the card to me. Once I received the card on 8/4, I called back in and asked that they make sure the correct offer was associated with my signup because I didn't see anything in the approval materials. I mentioned code #5985 and I was told that I already had 10k points after my first purchase and another 25k after $1000 in spend over 3 months but that she would honor the 75k points after the first offer posted to my account in 6-8 weeks. I've also had a Platinum card for 5 years and she was well aware of my account history.

Time starts either when you get approved or you activate the card. I got instant approval on 7/31. Card arrived today and I called 800 297-3276 after activating it. I asked to apply code 5985 from an offer I saw in the mail. She said okay and told me I had to spend $1000 within 3 months, then call back for the extra 65K.

wife and I both applied and were approved for the card on 7/31. Received the cards yesterday, activated and sent SM through website asking for 6661 to be attached to the card for the 75k points. Woke up this morning and had the approval for both cards.

Applied on 8/1, got the card today. Called MR and asked to have the code applied. She looked it up and said that I was eligible b/c I applied on 8/1. I was worried about it from others' comments, but I'm good. Thanks, all!

I wanted to share this here.
I received the 75K points in May, and transfer them to Delta during 50% bonus miles and elite level.
But I paid $45 offset fee for transfer the points to Delta miles.
I am planning to transfer more points today, and notice that is no offset fees this time.
Then I emailed AMEX Reward through secure messages, and wonder I could get the $45 refund. Within 2 hours, got response regarding the $45 will be credited to my account in next billing cycle.
If you paid the offset fees in past months.. you may want to try secure message to get the money back.

In fact, if anyone needs a referral send me a PM. My offer will give you the 10K after first purchase instead of spending $1,000. Then you just ask for the bump to 75K.
