There is NONE for ID5894. If you have read this thread - this is a Targeted offer with mailer sent to the solicited customers. My SIL got one a couple weeks ago.

You use the invitation to apply either by sending it in or go to special site where you input your invitation code according to what she described.

All of us here signed up the offers that do have actual links (from anywhere 10K to 15K to 25K and the now defunct Columbia MBA Grad targeted offer) and then asked for the match to offer 5894 once we got the approvals on the Non-targeted offers.

AMEX seem to match the ID5894 with many different versions, from the initial approvals to the actual mechanisms - there are at least 5 or 6 different ways they have done the match but it seems most who requested, even initially being denied, eventually did get the match. Though some are lucky on first try some are unlucky to have tried 3, 4 times.

You will find the 25K link a few pages back. Clear all AMEX cookies before you click open the link and apply right there. Else the link would revert back to the generic 10K offer. 25K offer expires on July 31 while the 75K ID5894 targeted offer expires on July 1st according to posts on this thread.

How long it takes for the card to arrive?

My Chase Sapphire was approved Last Monday night by calling Chase Lending Dept to shuffle credit lines and card arrived on Saturday.

My AMEX PR Gold was instantly approved on last Wednesday and I am still waiting for the card.

Last year the SPG card came by FedEx overnight delivery after approval. This time the email said the card will arrive by regular mail in plain envelop with AMEX logo.

I'm thinking about having my family sign up for this card -- is there any indication of how long we will be able to request the 75,000 points until? When did/does the formal targeted offer expire?

Lucky just answered his question in his last post.

Are you that lazy?

I'm sorry I was going through this thread earlier in the day and didn't see that! Thanks for the heads up.

Did you do this over the phone or through secure mail? I tried over the phone and I was told that I had to wait 6-8 weeks for the miles. I would certainly like to have the posting of these miles expedited if possible.

I already paid off the balance.

It's been exactly two weeks tomorrow since Amex claims they mailed the Platinum card and it's still has not arrived. I think I read on the Platinum thread some people have had trouble getting the actual card to arrive. I just sent a SM asking they send one overnight.

Both my Gold card applied on 22nd and husband's on 26th arrived today.

How do I add the card to the existing SPG userid on AMEX site? I only see Activate New Card but Cards are already activated by phone.

Chose to do the phone activations and later transferred to MR dept to make sure the ID 5894 was indeed notated. A pleasant guy at Arizona verified that and also notated the accounts from his end with the $500 spend then call back for the bump but he emphasizes a few times of the 6 - 8 weeks frame after spend is met. Though there were reports that the 50K automatically showed up at $500 and then 25K automatically showed up at $1000, in just a few days instead of week.

Who knows what will be in store... We will just go ahead to spend the requisites now.

Thanks Swat16 for your helps along the way. ^

EDIT: Going thru the online Activation again and registered the new card under existing userid plus existing payment accounts.

That was my exact situation. Click on the Activate New Card button even though you have already activated it. The site will recognize that and walk you through adding the new card to your already existing SPG online account / userid.

Good luck with the 75K quest -- mine worked well!

Thanks. I went ahead to activate it again before reading your post. It was a relatively painless process especially you only need to add one payment account and the rest it let you pick from those already there for the SPG cards versus Citi and Chase require you to manually add each and everyone even though they are the same for the existing accounts.

I just hope we dont have to wait for the 6-8 weeks boiler plate reiteration from the MR phone rep. Try to transfer some to BA accounts to take advantage of the 50% bonus offer that ends on July 31st.

too late?

Man, I took a couple months off staying on top of deals and I just found this one...

Does anyone have any idea whether I can apply today and (if instantly approved) still get the 75K bump?

I know it expires July 1, but is that the application date, the date you call in, or the date your card arrives?

Thanks FT!

If you have existing AMEX cards i.e. you have access to secured massage, you could still make the request before offer expires, provided of course an instant approval and the ability to do SM. Several of us sent our requests via other cards long before we got the PR cards in hand. SM seems to have better success rate than calling MR.
