i'm wondering if i should send a secure message now including the last 5 of the card from the email they sent to ask for the offer now or wait until i get the card to do it.

for those of you that have sent a secure message before getting the card, did you just select one of your current amex card accounts to send the message? It's asking "what account is this message about"

Yes, exactly. The second drop down select MR. I got them to match me to 75K long before receiving the card.

I sent a secure message without waiting for the card to arrive. And this is what I got from them:

I can appreciate your concern and I will be glad to go over this with you.
I have reviewed your account and our records indicate that this Card was not solicited for that bonus. However, once you meet the necessary spend criteria, please contact me again and I will issue the points to you account as a courtesy.

My question is: do I go based on the 10K requirement or 25K requirement? I applied using the 25K link but my application showed 10K. If 25K, I have to spend $1000, if it's 10K, I just need to do any purchase.

I think they said it will take about 6-8 weeks. I have about 80,000 'pending' points too and I reached my spending limit about 2 weeks ago..

Anyone used someone else's ( spouse's ) application
My wife has received an offer and I want to use it ( do not want to incur a hard credit check on her account and I would be using it more ) to apply. The online application does not have her name or other information. Has anyone tried this and succeeded in getting the bonus points ?

Just got my 75K after mucho hassle. Applied through the 50K Columbia offer, got switched to the 10K offer, asked for 75K match, was told to spend $1000 and then to call back when I made the spend to get 65K, called back when I made the spend and was told the initial 10K wasn't posted yet so I had to wait, a few more phone calls, etc. Today they finally did a manual credit of the 65K points. So I've got 75K pending now, but I should be good to go.
