I can't decide if I want to pull the trigger on this one. I feel like I'm the kind of person who never gets the benefit from the company when 90% of people are posting that it worked for them (for example, I repeatedly got rejected from Citi business cards despite a score ~760). I tried calling amex to see if they could guarantee the 75k before I applied, but they couldn't help.
Anyone have any advice?

Have you got your gold card yet? If yes, you can manually add to your account.
But if you are not, just email them with your blue cash card, but put your application reference number in the email and explain in the email that you have not got the card, but just see this ID bonus promotion and want to get it.
I did the same and got it.

When I click on the link I get to the Gold card application page, but it recognizes I'm already a member (I have a Green card) and invites me to enter my user/pass or CC# to upgrade. No mention of any bonus.

When I try to do so, I get an error saying the info doesn't match their records (tried a few times) and now I get an error saying to try again in 24 hours.
I've sent a secure message and I'm awaiting further instruction. I'm worried though that if I get the 25k, having already sent a secure message, I'd be pushing my luck to send *another* secure message asking for 75k.
I'd be fine with 25k though.

Ok, I got shot down. I'd just signed up for the 10k link, got instant approval and got the following:
I sent this to "MR points balance". I don't have a charge card but I do have an SPG card. I'm thinking of re-sending in a few days hoping for more luck. What are the magic words that you guys used? I think I'm the only one in this thread that got turned away. This was on my Dad's card (doesn't live in the US anymore so credit history is irrelevant) and I was hoping that if this went through I would do mine too.

Can you offer any assistance in correcting this since I haven't even received or activated my card so I can receive an additional 50,000 points? Thank you for any help you can provide.

At the beginning of this thread, I had successfully contacted MR by phone and got switched to the better offer. My DH applied for an account, activated it last night, and send a secure message to "MR balance" and got a denial message this morning.
The person's name sounds very american, unlike the other names we've been seeing? Note the "senior manager," anyone else get that?

I appreciate your interest in the bonus ID 5894 offer associated with the Premier Card for 75,000 bonus points.
I would like to inform you that this offer was sent to a limited number of Cardmembers by solicitation.
Since your account was not solicited for this offer, I'm afraid, we are unable to honor this promotional offer to you.

What number are people calling for MR? I got shot down via secure message.
EDIT: Actually, can someone just give me the number off the back of the card?
