Plane Smart
Is there an easy to find out which flights exists from a certain location based on aircraft type? e.g. If I wanted flights from LAX on a 777 to LHR, how would I find that out without calling up each airline schedule individually?

I think your best bet is to check out the airport sites, if the airport you are looking for has a web site. For example, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) allows you to display departing or arriving flights. You can sort by time, airline, or for your purposes, equipment (plane) type.
Try it out at: http://www.vancouverairport.com/Flig...FlightInfo.htm First click on Real Time Flight Information (upper left,) then click on the small airplane inside the magnifying glass, to sort by plane type. Doing this allows me to tell you that KE072 departed Vancouver for Seoul, and was a 777. While it's not precisely what you are looking for, it's a start, and if you're lucky, other airports will have the same feature. Check on Preview travel for this kind of info after entering the destination and preferred airlines. The loading time may be a bit long, but it will give you a major headstart.
