I received an email from BA today. See promo with American and Iberia. Register for Wanderlust promo and fly transatlantic between certain dates and be registered in promo to win 1 million miles. Now what I thought was interesting was in the fine print: 20K BA miles extra for the transatlantic flights during this promo time period. Now I would not book a flight just to do this, but if you were planning on going, I certainly would register to get the extra 20K. Copied email details below:

To become eligible to enter The Miles Millionaire Contest, register, then book a qualifying round-trip transatlantic flight on British Airways, American Airlines or Iberia now through June 17, 2011, and complete your travel on or before June 30, 2011. Once you complete your travel, you'll receive an email* with details on the Contest entry process. You just have to creatively answer this question: if you were cured of the Wanderlust with 1 Million Miles, where would you go and what would you do there?

Plus, as a valued Executive Club member, each time you complete qualifying round-trip transatlantic travel in full-fare World TravellerSM (economy) or higher during the promotional period, you will receive 20,000 bonus BA Miles. So even if you don't win, you can use your bonus BA Miles towards a vacation and stave off the Wanderlust just a little longer.

Two British Airways Executive Club members will become Miles Millionaires and two American Airlines AAdvantage program members will become Miles Millionaires.

*Email will be sent no later than 14 days after qualifying travel has been completed. Be sure to include your Executive Club number at time of booking.

BRITISH AIRWAYS QUALIFYING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• To qualify for the 20,000 bonus BA Miles, you must be a US Executive Club member and be registered for the promotion.
• Registration must be completed at www.ba.com/wanderlust.
• New members must enroll in the Executive Club and register for the promotion prior to travel in order to qualify for this promotion.
• Member must book a full-fare transatlantic round-trip ticket for travel originating in the US on flights marketing and/or operated by British Airways (H, B, Y, W, E, T, J, C, D, R, I, F, A), American Airlines (F, A, J, C, D, I, R, Y, B, H) or Iberia (J, C, D, R, I, Y) to qualify.
• For new bookings only made April 6, 2011 through June 17, 2011 with travel completed on or before June 30, 2011.
• Round-trip travel must originate and terminate in the U.S. to be eligible.
• To ensure qualifying flights are tracked, members must provide Executive Club member number at time of booking and again at check-in.
• Please allow 4 weeks for bonus miles to be credited to your Executive Club account.
• Offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer, discount coupon, upgrade or free travel award, Consolidator or Wholesale fares, senior citizen discounts, travel agency discounts, child or infant fares, or any travel trade and airline industry discount tickets and cannot be combined with any other BA Miles bonus or promotional offer.

Open to registered members of the British Airways Executive Club Programme and the American Airlines AAdvantage® program (i) who are legal residents of the United States (excluding Vermont) or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry and (ii) who book a qualifying round trip transatlantic flight originating and terminating in the United States on British Airways, American Airlines or Iberia Airlines on or before the Booking Deadline, and complete the corresponding travel before the Flight Deadline. Booking Deadline is 11:59 p.m. ET on June 17, 2011. Flight Deadline is 11:59 p.m. ET on June 30, 2011. Flights must be booked on or after April 6, 2011 at 7 a.m. ET. Prior bookings are not eligible. You have to write an essay to enter the Contest. There is a limit of one (1) submission per person. Essay submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET July 15, 2011. Essays may be posted online with the name of the entrant.
