starwood points: which airline to use?

Not sure if this the correct forum, but I once posted a similar question and it was moved to MilesBuzz, so here goes:

Flying SAN-JFK or SAN-LGA this summer, prices are sky high (no pun intended), so am looking to use 25k Starwood points.

Delta intra-america award costs 40k, jet blue is the same. Without checking every airline, does someone have a quick suggestion as to which airline to transfer them to?

Looking for 25k award, non stop if possible.

Try AA..at least any miles you transfer there will count towards lifetime elite status and their 25k availability is generally better than Delta

Have you looked into flying SAN-EWR? Fares seem a bit lower. WN has fares at $144 each way for many days in the summer.

Thanks for the tips. Didn't know about AA miles transferred counting towards elite!

EWR.. much cheaper, but yucky to deal with.
