Earn points:
$1:1 for separate hotel; flight; activity
$1:2 flight and hotel
$1:3 flight and hotel and car
$1:4 flight and hotel and car and activity

The thing that kills this for me is that booking the hotel through Expedia kills my points, stay credits, and status privileges with Starwood. An extra 1% for flights alone is not worth the risk to me of interposing a third party between me and the airline in case things go wrong with the booking.
