Question about FlyerTalk video
Hi everyone,
Quick question for everyone. On the FlyerTalk video that has been circulating around on Facebook etc. there was a gentleman who "gamed the system" by hiring people to fly back and forth on 8-dollar fares between two points somewhere in Asia, and used that to accrue millions of miles. Question: is this still possible? Meaning, how can you accrue miles for another person's account? |
No ID was required. And of course it is not possible anymore.

Assuming you are talking about the beaubo bit in Thailand, my understanding is that the farmers hired all earnt miles in their own personal accounts that were managed by the man behind the curtain, so to speak. So they all accumulated the points but he was the one redeeming them and profiting from them. They were not all crediting to a single account AFAIK.

That should be easier for someone named John Smith as for somebody with a name like mine. |
Come to the Chicago Seminar DO in October and meet Beaubo himself, and hear his hilarious stories.
Also Pudding Guy and Randy and a slew of other experts. |
I believe he was visited by a few authorities that had a good laugh when he explained the story. iirc, that route was a hotspot for drug trafficking...
