AAdvantage Dining bonuses
I'm new to the forums and apologize if I leave anything out ... but ... AA is promoting it Advantage Dining ... 500 miles sign up bonus; 1 - 3 miles per dollar spent depending on restaurant; 500 miles for your first review of a restaurant with 30 days; 500 miles for your review of a 2nd member restaurant if submitted within 45 days. I joined last week and the 500 miles posted already, as did the 96 miles for a lunch at a participating restaurant.
thanks for sharing great tips group. |

I've used this program for a couple of years now. This program is a great way to keep the miles coming in on autopilot. It only takes a week or so for them to post and I've rarely had any issues. It's really easy to move into the category where you're earning 5 miles per dollar spent, add to that using the Citi AA debit card or CC and your earning 6 miles per dollar spent. They regularly run bonuses that often double or triple the miles earned. If you have a lot of participating restaurants near you, it's pretty easy to earn 15,000-25,000 miles per year depending on how often you eat out.

I use this program as well. One really good way to boost your points if you're with a group at a participating restaurant is to be the money collector for the bill, hold the cash, and then pay the entire bill through your own credit card. Of course, you have to be disciplined and use the money to pay the credit card charge at the end of the billing cycle, but if you're on the 5-miles-per-dine level, you can easily earn 1000-2000 miles for one dinner to which you contributed no more than $50-100. I've done this a number of times, including once on a triple bonus promotion that netted me well north of 2000 miles.
And even if you don't use the program frequently, it's a really great way to keep your miles from expiring since a charge through this program counts as mileage activity. |
All the major U.S. airlines have similar programs. They're all run by the same company - Rewards Network, previously iDine - and they all work the same way. There are threads on each of them in the corresponding airlines' forums (or fora).

Any idea what happens if you sign up for dining rewards through multiple programs? I'm signed up through AA, but just got an e-mail from Hilton with similar bonuses for signing up and reviewing through their program.

Is it possible to double dip? I'm already signed up for the same dining program for United Miles. Can I also get AA miles for the same dining spend?
|
Hilton has a similar program.
Make sure you only align your CC with one program, there is no double dipping. |

For example, if you have a Delta Skymiles Amex Card registered in the AA Dining program. If you use this card when you eat out you will earn miles for the transaction in Skymiles, while the miles you earn for dining at that restaurant would go to AA. |
You needd to spend more than $25.00 to get the bonus,so if you eat alone, buy a $25.00 gift card and use it on oyur next visit. Aso some places only allow one visit per month, so read the rules.
I use UA and AA...different cards...we also give the gift cards out a Christmas time to the staff, and during the years.. |
