[OP link EXPIRED]Hilton HHonor AMEX points - 62,500 (50k easy)

For those that signed up for the Hilton Surpass card a while back here is a no annual fee Hilton Amex card that can net up to 62,500 points.

It is an easy 50k points and more if you actually stay at their hotels.

I recently signed up for the Surpass card and have received the points. I just applied for this card tonight and got instant approval. This should bring most peoples totals over 150k HHonor points.

the fine print:

1 To receive 20,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points, you must make your first eligible purchase with the Hilton HHonors Card within one year of Card issuance. Only one first purchase bonus per Card account. Only first-time Hilton HHonors Cardmembers will receive 20,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points. Allow 8-12 weeks for HHonors Bonus Points to be credited to your account.

Fine print also says 30,000 bonus points after $500 spend in first 3 months.

I was thinking of jumping on this to have another card that I wouldnt need to cancel eventually (to build credit).
What is the value of 50,000 points- how many nights is that?

According to the rules you won't get the bonus again since you are no longer a first time cardmember.

"Only first-time Hilton HHonors Cardmembers will receive 20,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points."

have any existing AE Hilton cards members (like us) been successful in getting the 30k or 20k from this offer despite having been given bonus points by AE Hilon in the past. My wife currently has two AE Hilton cards (one use to be a Delta card)----would there be a problem in having her apply for a 3rd in people's opinion?

Thanks.

Much has already been written on this topic on the Hilton HHonors forum. Check out this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilto...good-deal.html and

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilto...-up-bonus.html and

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilto...us-points.html and

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilto...n-express.html

Of course, there is also the Hilton card from CITI if you want to maximize your CC points.
