Lol. I don't think anyone can go wrong with short haul's on Avios'. LAX to HNL is 12.5K one way & $5 in taxes is a steal. Thank goodness for Amex and Chase both having them

I used 10000 avios and $ 5.00 on LAN to fly from Mendoza Argentina to Lima Peru with a 23 hour stop over in Santiago Chili
And also just booked using 4500 avios and $ 5 to fly from ATL to ORD on American

I booked Madrid to Dubrovnik flight for 7,500 Avios. I needed to fly on that specific date and it would have cost $550 on Iberia
