Lol. I don't think anyone can go wrong with short haul's on Avios'. LAX to HNL is 12.5K one way & $5 in taxes is a steal. Thank goodness for Amex and Chase both having them

Interesting. I had been planning to take the Shinkansen, but I will definitely compare the two.

How about this.
I used 10000 avios and $ 5.00 on LAN to fly from Mendoza Argentina to Lima Peru with a 23 hour stop over in Santiago Chili

And also just booked using 4500 avios and $ 5 to fly from ATL to ORD on American

How do you book open jaw and long stop over flights on LAN? Can you please either post here or PM me? I need to book South American trip with LAN for travel in next few months.

I booked Madrid to Dubrovnik flight for 7,500 Avios. I needed to fly on that specific date and it would have cost $550 on Iberia

Airline miles across 7 programs: 1,330,000. With future AOR's and planned spending should be at around 1,700,000 by the end of the year.

Hotel points: 519,000 across 3 programs. With future AOR's and planned spending should be around 800,000 across 4 programs by the end of the year.

CC points: 542,000 across 4 programs. With future AOR's and planned spending should be at 700,000 by the end of the year.

Already redeemed this year:

Airline: 403,000
Hotel: 369,000
CC: 465,000
