Which FF program?
 

I am currently a Quantas and Ansett FF, with limited points on both. I also have a Quantas visa card and I'm looking at booking a business class discounted single ticket between London and Sydney, probably with Thai ( due to their cheap prices ). In the future I will be doing return discounted business trips for Sydney to London at the rate of about one per year.

Can someone advise me of any suitable FF programmes?

I would suggest a program that from an Airline that is part of the Star Alliance. Which now has Ansett as a member, and you could apply your Thai points towards it also. Then for the Europe flights you could slightly inconvenience yourself and fly Lufthansa via Germany. But Singapore Airlines is schedule to join, so that would be a nice alternative, when they do. This way you would get all your miles in one program and with those long SYD-LHR flights you would soon be in either the highest or second highest tier of the program. Allowing you upgrades, etc. Check out the Star Alliance Website. You may also want to read some of the threads under the star heading on this board.
