Diners as conduit from UA to BA
 

I just noticed in a promo included in my Diners statement with which you can transfer United Airlines miles into Club Rewards points (unfortunately only in increments of 10,000) at a rate of 1 to 1. Ordinarily this is a bad deal as you need 2 Diners Club points to get a mile at most FF programs. However, since BA is supposed to be offering a 1 to 1 promo sometime this summer, you could use that to get the original # of miles.

The UA deal lasts until July 31 -- call UA at 800-930-3104.
