This would be even better if they lift the fee.

If they allow this bonus with a points.com trade, then the fee could be bypassed.

This is a very poor value.

You get 25000 "new" miles for 1120$ = cost 4.5 cpm. Buying miles is cheaper. Keep the miles in your own account and book the ticket.

Hardly a deal unless I'm missing something.

It probably isn't so much for the "deal" rather than a "boost" to get up to that MM mark.

Quickest way to MM?

Well, only if you already have 875k in your account and have someone willing to give you 100k, plus pay over $1100 just to do so and create 25k miles and get to MM. If you already have 875k, there might be more cost effective ways to get there.

It's really hard to see why anyone would want to do this, except maybe if you're really really close to MM, or if you have a small number of miles in relatively inactive accounts and want to do this to move them for an award you otherwise couldn't get. But, with 12.5k domestic one-way awards, even a very small account is potentially valuable if you take advantage of a few promos.

Sounds like the most expensive way to MM if you ask me.
