Help!! Hotels in London
Need a hotel room in the Grosvenor Square / Mayfair area for this weekend. Prefer Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton or Starwood. Marriott Grosvenor square is sold out. Does anyone know how far the Hyatt Carlton Towers is from the Millenium in Grosvenor Square. Any ideas in Leeds for next week.

IT takes about 10 mins by car - in traffic situations of course. But bearable.
There are some other nice hotels in that region - are points what you are only concerned about? If not, there's the Four Seasons, Hilton, The Metropolitan, and Intercontinental. These are not too far from Grosvenor Square. You can even walk there! |
The May Fair (two words, please!) Intercontinental is a fantastic hotel. Would suggest that you check their website, which is www.interconti.com, to see if they have any special rates at the May Fair for the weekend. It is just a couple blocks from Grosvenor Square, and I think has the best service you can find in the area. If you had the time, you could join the Six Continents Club for $100 and get a free weekend night, usable at the hotel, but it will take too long. Still, you can probably join the Six Continents Club on the spot, they'll give you a temporary membership card, and upgrade you to a better room. We stayed there and upgraded to room 220, one of the finest hotel rooms I have ever had at any hotel. It is convenient to several metro stops, Picadilly, and lots more. Highly recommend it.

The May Fair, as I expected, shows an internet booking rate of 99 pounds for this weekend, Friday and Saturday nights on their internet reservations site. Can't beat that rate for the May Fair. You can't go wrong there.

I agree, the Intercontinental Mayfair is a great hotel. If you plan on staying at other IC properties, it is worth getting the 6CC card.
As DJlawman pointed out 99 pounds is a great deal for this hotel! ------------------ |
take it for the £99 - I would retake it without hesitating for that price.

Thanks much guys. Since its only for the weekend, I've have picked the Conrad in Chelsea for 160 pounds. 99 pounds at the IC is a spectacular deal but Chelsea is supposed to be the fun area.
