50,000 Mile UA Card back for Elites
Hi all,
Signed into my MP account and noticed the link below: https://www.thatsaplus.com/MP50kElit...1_50k_701_1009 Enjoy! |
30,000 option for non-elites as well
I didn't have Elite status, but I put in my information just for kicks. It offered me a no-first-year fee card with up to 30,000 miles.
* Start with 25,000 miles – enough for a free‡ roundtrip ticket to anywhere in the continental United States – after you spend $250* * Receive a free‡ one-way upgrade certificate and a $25 travel certificate after your first purchase* * After you spend $250, earn 5,000 additional miles when you sign an authorized user* No annual fee† for the first year We're waiving your annual fee for the first year, a $60 value. 1 mile for every $1 with no limits * Earn 1 mile per $1 spent on all purchases you make with your card* * No limit to the miles you may earn* |
Confirmed - I am an elite member on UA and I put in my details and I do get the 50K offer.
I have a question and I would appreciate any input: The last Chase card I signed up for was the BA card. Would I be eligible to sign up for the promo without going through any hoops? |

I went for the United 50k promo back in May, wonder if I can go for this one! I need to buy UA ticket next week so I really like to get this card before hand. Could you please help me? thanks. |
My quote came from the page immediately after entering my id. Before the application. What I quoted was a straight copy paste from that page. Maybe it was targeted?

Folks, it's quite simple actually - click through the link posted in the OP and key in your details. If you are an elite member, you will be offerred the 50K deal. If not, I guess you will be offerred the 30K deal.

I am 1K. But after I entered my MP# and last name, I got the "special offer" of 30K miles, not 50K. I didn't plan to apply for it since I already got a MP select visa.

Premium Exec and I got the 30k....no annual fee
:::Actually its only 25k after $250 and then 5k if I refer someone...isn't that worse than the current 30k for $250 promo going on? I want the 50K! |
Entered a general member MP# , got 50000 offer and for other general member 30000

Misleading thread title
Being an elite will only waive you the annual fee. It doesn't guarantee you this special offer of 50K bonus miles. Some 1K FTers already confirmed that part in thread.
If you read the page linked in the OP more closely, you should find: ".....And for a limited time pay no annual fee for the first year, a $95 value*" *To qualify for this offer you must have been a United Elite member as of 7/15/2010 I am not sure what kind of UA elite status will guarantee you 50K bonus miles from Chase though. It seems more UA general members get 50K special offer than elite, according to what's been reported so far. |

This is unclear to me. They offered you a 30,000-mile deal, but your application for it could not be processed?
1) I clicked the link above 2) I put in my id 3) I pressed the button 4) I got the message in quote above 5) I copy pasted here. I didn't apply at all because I am waiting till October. So based on above posts both mileage amount, and the waived first year fee seem to be YMMV I guess |
