help-flight to Turkey!
 

hey folks-i'm new to flyertalk. I've been reading a bunch of these threads but can't for the life of me figure out how to pull off my goal of using miles to get 2 tickets from Tucson to Turkey. I have about 70000 continental miles (this is after taking advantage of the chase mastercard deal) and also about 40000delta miles. The best deal i can find seems to require 110,000 miles total for 2 tickets on continental. but that still leaves me with ~40,000 miles to earn by the end of the this year. Any thoughts/tips on how to pull this off? Thanks

Do you have an American Express card enrolled in Membership Rewards? If not, you could sign up for a card with a bonus of MRs. I don't know what's being offered now, but I got 25,000 Membership Reward points when I signed up for the Platinum card. You can then transfer those MR points into Continental Onepass miles.

As far as the Continental-branded Chase Mastercard goes, they've been offering some good targeted promos. Search the forum and you'll find several of the "make X purchases per month and get X bonus Onepass miles" type. Watch your mail for these targeted postcards.
