FF miles to Kilimanjaro

I want to use my miles (AA 130K, VA 50k, Con 75 K, Delta 50k) to fly to Tanzania from LAX. But when I search for award tickets on these sites I get the following message on all of them

'Continental or its partners serve these cities but do not publish schedules or fares between them. It may be possible to construct an itinerary using two separate fares by calling 1-800-300-1547.'

'Saver Award travel is not available on one or both of your selected dates. Use the calendar below to find and select dates with Saver Award availability.'

'No American, American Eagle, or American Connection service is provided between the cities requested. Please contact AAdvantage Reservations for Award opportunities on AAdvantage participating airlines'

Is there any way I can use my miles to get to Tanzania

You dont have enough CO/VA/DL miles

Delta's search engine is useless. Dont bother.

CO has a good search engine but no Star Alliance airline flies to JRO, however EgyptAir and Swiss fly to DAR, the former can only be searched for on ANA's or Air Canada's search engines.

I have no experience with AA miles, but it seems like you could take BA to DAR

Consider splitting awards if needed. One carrier LAX-LHR, BA (with AA miles) to NBO or DAR

if you fly into Nairobi (NBO) there is a 5 hour shuttle to Arusha. Arusha is a 45 minute shuttle drive from Kilimanjaro.

You can catch the Arusha shuttle straight from NBO airport without going into town. If you had been lucky enough to get those 100K miles for opening the BA credit card....

By the way, you can easily guides in Arusha and they will drive you to Kilimanjaro parking lot. I suggest a prescription for Diamox to control altitude sickness. Enjoy!
