billm, great site! I'm heading to Turkey soon, and they had 32 listings. The other sites previously mentioned in this thread, had no listings in that country.

In the Delta Shuttle terminal in LGA, there are net access points - relatively expensive and not too quick, but sufficient if you just want to check your e-mail and naturally Flyer Talk.

I'm sure everybody knows this, but the skytel booth in SJC in the southwest gate has free internet access (and faxing too). it's just a run-down laptop they offer, but it's better than nothing.

don't overlook the public libraries--here in TPA they aren't so good (not many terminals in each branch) but in Chicagoland they are great (Arlington Heights has appx 18 terminals, Schaumburg appx 30, all free to anyone)

Stopped at a Marriottt Courtyard in Burlington, NC while driving (driving????) from DC to Atlanta last winter. The place was empty, but the bar had a computer with free, unlimited internet access.. Of course, there was only one PC. If there had been any other guests in the place, especially if they had been participants in this thread, I probably wouldn't have gotten near it. Don't know if this is a standard Courtyard feature.

A couple of thoughts:

1. Most US Admiral's Clubs have free net access (assuming the computer's up, which is not a given since any public computer gets messed up regularly, and that you can get to it) but not overseas. Both London clubs (LHR and LGW) do have pay-as-you-go access, though.

2. The Heathrow Hilton has computers in its business floor rooms. I don't recall the technology but it includes Net access. You pay for some amount of use in advance and the meter runs as you use it (faster when you're printing).

3. Many hotels - the Concorde-St. Lazare in Paris comes to mind since I was there last week, but others too - have business centers where guest can use computers at reasonable rates.

Stores that sell computers and other technology items often have free internet access. I was getting a new car stereo installed, and while I was waiting, spent the hour in the store checking email and surfing.

There are several Free Internet terminals at Newark's Terminal C, right next to Gate 100.

I've used them a few times, not super fast,
but good way to kill some time.
