New to flyertalk - need DL advice
 

Just joined a company. Need to fly to TPE, PVG, HKG, GZ first week of Apr for 2 weeks. Would like to travel biz class but company would only pay for economy. Hv miles in DL. Thinking of buying an upgradable economy ticket $2735 + 60K to upgrade. Would only be reimbursed for $1050. Any other approach I should consider if I want to go biz class? Thanks

Upgrading on DL is VERY difficult, so make sure you can actually upgrade once you buy your upgradable fare. Hoestly, if you have to shell out the miles and >$1k, I'd NOT upgrade.
