I have UAL, AA and Delta miles (lots thanks to FT).

IMHO, the Delta miles are pretty much worthless 'cause you just can't get seats. I tried recently to go to OZ in biz or F, Delta had zip (at any rational use of miles), UAL and AA at least had something.

Delta did have availability in coach--but, for the miles they wanted I'd rather buy a coach ticket and rack up some miles on AA or UAL.

However, I did recently use 3200 Delta miles for a sub to The Economist. Value around $90-100. :D

Looks like UAL is/was the best FF program for Hawaii award travel per FrugalTravelGuy research.

The CC TOS appear to rule this out:

Not allowed:
[...]
• Cash or Gift Cards (e.g. Cash, gasoline cards, department store GC, restaurant GC, Hotel Gift Cards, Airline Gift Cards)

A special note about "gift cards": Effective 8/15/2009, Gift Cards of any type - even travel related cards - are not allowed for trade or gifting on Coupon Connection. (gifting language added 10/16/2009)

I would definitely choose 40k SPG points over 75k Skymiles points!

IMO, 40k SPG points = 50-60k AA or CO miles = 100-120k Delta miles
