Hilton's "smart card"

I could post this under HILTON but since It's
like my suggestion for a "universal frequent
Flyer card..." (this could be old news, my
memory sometimes fails me!)

Hilton's testing a smart card with AMEX and
IBM at certain hotels. Has all your staying
info, HHonors members, FF numbers and with
the flick of a card you can check in even
quicker than zip in.

It has a computer chip imbedded to the AMEX
or Hilton Diamond or Hilton Optima card.

Full details in their Hilton.com press release.

WOW! Great minds think alike!!! CATMAN

I thhik the trial of the Hilton Smart Card ended earlier this year. I havn't heard that they have extended it.

Anyone know anything?

If the smart trial card ended earlier this
year... then Hilton needs to update its
website.

Maybe a better trial is to send its members
(Diamonds like you Merry Flyer) or the elites
the card, tell them to try it out at their
next stay, and get 1000 bonus HHonors for filling out a survey about what members thought of it.

I would not mind trying this card out. Also
Hilton should have tried some of the bigger
hotels (NYC, San Francisco, Paris) for try
out sites. Through the Hilton O'Hare was
a good move. CATMAN

Catman, my recollection is that bonus points were offered to the select group of people eligible to participate in the trial (I am gold and did not receive an invitation to participate in it).
