Just a heads up:
The mileage level for CO Silver is still at 25,000. What people have been reporting is that based on booked travel that will push them over 25,000 EQMs, the OPSC will grant Silver status early. If you don't end up earning the full EQMs by the end of the year, you will get zero status next year. Also, you can sign up for the Double EQM deal online. Hope this helps. |

I just called OP and they confirmed that there is a promotion where you only need 20,000 elite miles to gain Silver status for the next calendar year (2010). You have to call them (ie. it will NOT happen automatically). DeaconFlyer, could you point out where people have been reporting you still need 25,000? I will barely make it over 20k this year and do not want to miss my opportunity.

It is just for this year because of the change to *. This is great for newbies (like me)!

Rock on, I just started frequent business travel 2 years ago next month and it took me quite a while to find out what I liked.
Flyertalk was a great resource for me, although it can be confusing stay with it. There are growing pains and I have some stranded miles in some programs I didn't like that much but they were all worth trying. Get your staus and stay loyal but feel free to branch out a little when you are getting going, programs vary greatly and no 2 business travelers are the same. |
