May 31: ORD-LGA

Wish me luck!

When all is said and done, you will spend only slightly more time BIS than I will in Boston traffic heading to and from work - which is only 15 miles from my home. Enjoy. :D

Why would you guess that? In Ireland, it would more likely be a member of the clergy. But no, nothing so, uhhh, blue.

Sorry for the delays... first updates should be posted shortly. Thanks again for all the words of encouragement.

To answer recent questions:

$363 is the total all in price I paid for the Dublin trip ($270+taxes) June 7-8th but by no means is that all I paid for the month of travel. If you have any other questions about the fares, feel free to shoot me a PM.

I hadn't thought to bring a camera but I will be sure to do so from here on out! For the flights I have already completed, I guess you will have to rely on my ornate prose and vivid imagery. ;)

Tokyo was an absolute blast; I turned it into a nice little vacation and I hope to return someday to give the city the time it deserves.

In the meantime, I'll post some new updates and keep an eye out for Boston commuter traffic out the window and Idaho Senators and Irish Clergymen in the restrooms...

njvandy: get ready for some trouble with the ORD-MSN and back trips... for some reason the AA system did not recognize one of the segments, the AAngels had to manually credit me, but twice that didn't work... the system considered that it was a duplicate flight... after a few calls, they finally manually updated my record, inventing a new travel date for one of the segments... it was hte only way it would work...
so my piece of advice, be patient since those last 1000 miles might require a little extra work...
also I hope you have an exit row on the Dublin flight.. that MR is exhausting... but not as bad a BOS-LAX in the 757 ;)

enjoy the lounge access and happy flying!!

trip report, please!

make sure you post a trip report with pictures! the best is embedding them into the post itself and providing commentary as the pictures go along. that is awesome. show us the leg room in y, and the meals!

Thanks for the headsup on the MSN flights. I had a feeling there would be problems because aa.com still won't let me pick a different seat on the 2nd day's flights... it considers them duplicates of the first day I guess. I thankfully have exit rows on both DUB flights and the first one is now showing J3Y0 on expertflyer so keep your fingers crossed for the op-up!

I will be sure to bring along a camera and document the whole journey!
