Suggestions wanted: I need 13K miles to acheive PLAT on CO...

I took advantage of the DEQMs and took two trips IAH-TXL and one IAH-DUB on CO, but now need to take another to get 13K miles.

I've been looking at fares to various cities and want to only travel as much as I need to get 13K, and also stay within $400-600US. Any suggestions?

It looks like all the cheap fares have dried up in time for the prime time travel season, as is expected. I appreciate any input.

Regards

Before June 16 IAH LIM will give about 12500 and a chance for an upgrade for a CO gold.

I looked at that...

I actually priced Lima, it's within my budget, however, I also found POS for a little less, but I am not sure about crime in POS.

'Anyone have any knowledge/experience with POS? Anything to be concerned about? It would just be an overnight trip.

I'm looking at the CO IAH-EWR-POS flight, for $545 A/I, leaving Saturday, June 6th, returning the next day.

Same flight I priced...

This is the same one I priced earlier. Quito also give me the miles as does PTY. I also have a $150 credit, and so I even priced out NRT, which puts me way over the top, but I don't really need a long flight to get the miles. I am still searching, perhaps the POS may be the best... short flight, gives me the miles I need. I'll post if I find better, or maybe someone has a better option that I am not aware of.

Regards

Try getting a cheap fare to a non-hub city on one of the coasts - then do a transcon. Buf, phl, mco, etc., come to mind. Poking around, I see iah-ewr-buf-ewr-sfo-ewr-buf-cle-iah for 351 ai (matrix.itasoftware.com June 2-June 4).

Legal routing as they're all L fares.

Nets over 17k eqm.
