Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Older portions of the thread have been separated into archive thread by year. They are listed below

I can't figure that one either. A c1c2.5 with a 1x intra-Europe? What are the odds of being able to fly the 1x (unless you can actually fly it)? What am I missing?

If it's close to a (major) hub you planed visiting anyways, then it is indeed flyable. Of course an extra EU-Trip is needed.

Yes fly first segment from Mediterranean C2 Airport into hub airport before flights to Oman and skip the last segment. If you want last itinerary segment to be into PAR or CPH, then add $ 14.00 -$ 28.00 to all-in price on Expedia or Orbitz and dumping carrier will be one probably very few people have ever heard about.

Availabilities on several dates each week beginning August 9 and well into 2018.

Departing ORD is actually $ 6.00 cheaper.

JJ C2-C4 went from YQ to Q on 8 June to align with LA. Everything on JJ gone forever.

It's [probably] not an EoE (or 1x).

Sounds like an OJ that's causing the dump.

Inbound flight: A to C (via B)
Outbound flight: C to B.

first flight dumps the main flight, but according to fare rules EoE is not permitted. Only workes on a few OTAs.
BF is about 200 €

I was just wondering if the same trick can be used for the sub 10€ BF C2c-C3se (EoE allowed).
Can't get it to combine on any OTA, but I think it could be possible and allow prices of about 130 € RT with easy to fly 1x

So does that mean there are 4 segments:

c2 mediterranean - hub
ord - sll
mct - nyc
c2s - c2

Maybe im just reading it wrong

The lowest price im getting on orbitz is in the 1200s

Sometimes you can dump also the Q surcharge but you have to work on OJ trip.

A tiny but major hub city in c3se does not allow airlines setting its own fuel surcharge, yet some airlines are getting away with it. ~$300 ai r/t from c1.

It's A-B-stopover-B-C-B

A-B is a oneway on a C2 carrier and B-C-B is a RT on a C3-carrier. So I would say it's kind of an 1x. You can also turn it into a round trip:
A-B-C-B-A

which would be a B-C-RT on the c3-Carrier nested into a A-B-RT on the C2 carrier.

You are always the closest to being right when you think you are wrong.
