Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Not the tap dance. It’s a codeshare situation. Oneworld airline ticketed by a non affiliated airline.

If the default logic stands, that non-affiliated carrier should be carrier that cross Atlantic ocean.

What are the tricks to find 3X?
I understand that 3X itself must be cheap enough, but is it usually the same airline as the main parts? Does it usually departure/arrive the hub of the main airline? Does it usually in the same country?
I just found a twitter mentioning the USA-middle East fuel dump. I can't find the 3X.
Thank you for any hints or suggestions!

I just found a twitter mentioning the USA-middle East fuel dump. The main airline is Royal Jordanian, but I can't find the 3X.
Thank you for any hints or suggestions!
EDITED:
There is multiple good resources on fuel dumping online which will answer all the elementary questions. Reading this thread (and the earlier years threads) is also a great resource if you have time to invest.

I found a sunny 3x for this which removed the YQ but is about $150 more than the quoted fare on SF.

Thank you very much! Would you mind posting some website? I read some articles from Google search but they are very genuine. Especially it there any site demonstrate how the YQ works instead of just perform intensive search?

Thanks! I did some search in the thread and they mentioned "DesertRose removed that "how-to guide" years ago. "

Are you considering that a "Contribution" .

If not what is the purpose ?

To tell us that you wasted $150+ ?
😇
In this thread we try to lower final price - not increase it !

Hi there everyone, I am looking for a strike from C1w to C3s. The airline is a very popular airline flying in South Asia specially India and red flying swan on its tail.

The base fare is less than $150, YQ is $500. I want to reduce YQ as much as possible. Ideally 0! I am trying some combinations but nothing works for this one . I would appreciate if anyone would share any tricks they know of.

TIA
