Oh boy,
The home airport. I tried some dates but didn't see anything like this.... I could do a bunch of these are this price for a great MR, maybe doing 2-a-day. Any ideas on times & dates that work, as I tried a bunch but was consistently seeing $300-$400 RT?

This same fare QA7OQPN was filed for AUS-SJC-AA for travel thru the week of 18-May.

Appears to be retaliation for JetBlue AUS <-> LGB/MCO/FLL/SFO O7X7 for $33 each way filed at 10am.

decent lite MR

quick 2476 mi at 3.8 CpEQM for elites and non-elites alike, same day, no hotels, no connections. not a knock but I'd label this MR lite, safe for AUS newbies. take a bunch of them to help me requal for EXP

one can also take the earlier flight (7:15am dep, 8:35am arr) and have some time to knock around landside though I'd be careful to leave enough time to deal with security on the way back in at LAX.

also not sure I'd like to leave only 50 minutes to connect (AA813-AA1308) though one might end up with a reroute through DFW coming back (extrAA miles) on a missed connection

thanks gwwallace for the post

Thanks so much for posting this gwwallace!
I have the first two weekends of May (Fri-Mon) on hold at that rate.
Now I just have to decide which weekend I want to go! (Maybe both at that price!)

$36 going, $79 coming back?

the return flights seemed to more than doubled

now getting lowest fare $115 r.t. before taxes/fees

drat, this was probably a mistake that I waited to long to jump on

edit: oops, re-read OP, this wasn't a mistake fare, just very few seats

AA knows the way to San Jose

Thanks for pointing this out, I booked a quick MR from AUS to SJC on April 4.

Depart AUS at 8:30, back by 4:30 that afternoon. Quick 2,900 EQMs, 5,800 total miles for $92!

This will be one of the rare MRs where I will be home for dinner that night!^
