MR vs. pay for points
 

i have 23,658 AA points about to expire in March. i don't fly much with AA so there is no reason to hold on to them. the last AA flight got me those points in Dec 06.

i can pay $55 to buy 2000 points (to hit 25k points) and then transfer them to HHonors for another $30....TOTAL $80

anyone know a MR for under $55 that would get me the 1342 points?

i can also transfer 10K HH points to AA for the 1500 miles i need, then transfer back the full 25k miles for 50K HH points......10K HH points for saving $55

what is the value of hh points to you.?....and what value do you assign to a possible domestic 25k mi ticket...xfering the hh points will extend your aa mi drop dead date.....good luck...

ps....i have no idea what a hh point is worth....

pps....a mr for the aa mi's could possibly be done for under $200...
