In case you have not been following the USD/AUD currency exchange rate, the dollar has exceeded 1.51.....up from a low of 1.01 in July.

Less than 2 week stay?
Anyone find anything coming back after 7-8 days? Everything I find at the lower prices seems to require atleast 14 days or more.

A reminder to those going to Australia for the first time: you'll need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) or VISA if you are a U.S. resident. The ETA process does not always go smoothly (mine was rejected last year and required followup with the consulate in Ottawa that added on a few days, and I'm over there every year), so allow plenty of time for that. There is an FTer that will process these for free but not sure he is prepared for this quantity. You can probably do the ETA a month ahead of departure and have time to settle any issues that come up.
