I am in for 4/10 on VA2 and 4/20 on VA1. Hope to see other FT'ers there.

Can we get pre-assigned seats? I am not calling the airline though.

By the way.....the deal is already posted on the Slickdeals website.
I guess I should have posted that I didn't want this spread, but oh well. From here on out, I would request friends and family are the only people that this spreads to. And by the way, FT is family.

In case you're curious.

Also, it would be nice if they would get around to sending me my email confirmation.

Haven't gotten mine either. I did, however, take a screenshot of it saying "confirmed" with my itinerary.

Thanks OP, thanks FT.

This is not a mileage run however. Can you earn miles with VA?

No, it's still there, though a lot of dates are gone. I'm not posting dates I just found because I don't want it on SD.

The trick is to select a cheap SYD-LAX flight first. Look on the bottom list for a $297 or so fare. Change the week if needed. Then click on that date, and you should see $216 fares on the top.

Edit: Actually, I don't think that's the trick, but you do need to find a cheap outbound fare in order to get a cheap inbound, and vice versa.

No confirmation email from me, but my reso is on checkmytrip.com.

We'll see how things turn out when the Aussies wake up.
