JC, you know what strains my patience? People who spell one's as ones. That really boils my goat.

Well done, OP, very nice find. ^

It will only give me one seat on all the days I've tried. Is there a workaround for that, too?

Thanks.

This fare has been around a long time today. Virgin filling their bank account?

I was working at my wife's school and her school computer would sit on the payment processing page doing nothing. I tried three times over three hours. Now, five hours later and back at home, I finally got the tickets.

I have had no problem finding wide open availability for July.
$483.52 per ticket. Just bought them.

And now the dollar is about back to the level it was when we were there in 2003. Last trip was First Class British Airways.

We are really in the poverty jet set now.

you'll earn points for each $ you spend/ miles u fly on v australia, probably be enough for a one way flight (+ tax).

and put it in your reservation when u book or post booking!

Looks like it's 0.5 per mile flown on the v saver fare:

http://www.velocityrewards.com.au/co...alia/index.htm

So LAX-SYD-BNE = 7,957 divide 2 = 3,978 velocity rewards points each way x 2 for a round trip (ie 7,957).

That's enough for a free flight from SYD-MEL (6,900), etc, they often also have sales on awards, so you might be able to do a round trip for that on a promo award.
It says one needs to reside in AU or NZ... time to borrow someone's address.

OK, I'm obviously doing something wrong.

I'm starting here:

http://www.vaustralia.com/

If I enter Los Angeles to Sydney, say July 3 to July 28, I get absolutely nothing less than $400+ each way -- even when I then scroll week to week. What else do I need to do?

Thanks!

I tried July 10-July21. It's available at $216 out $268 in. Directly from the website.
Oh and it doesn't work for > 1 pax.

I just tried july 10 and 21 and it came back 856 and 892.

It looks like it is showing different things for different people. I can't find any of the cheap fares.

This is so bizarre. It was there when i tried for 1 pax. Then I tried 2 pax. It didn't work. So i went back and tried 1 pax and now that won't work either. I think you just have to keep trying and it shows up randomly.
