First MR

Just got back from my first MR. JFK-->SFo-->LAX-->SJC-->LAX-->SFO-->JFK. For 24 hours of flying not too bad. A few people thought I was crazy, especially the FA on UA6519 as I got back on the aircraft in SJC.

I've been lucky as my schedule is only 7 weeks in the US and they fall, unplanned, completely within the DEQM time frame. WOOHOO!

There is always the first time. Just, you now have to accept that you might be hit by an expensive feever.

6 segments in 24 hours, do not underestimate the effect on your body. Did you have the FT Tag on you?

Don't worry, the FAs always look surprised if you just come back on a ping-pong. We do it regulary here on a specific flight in C to Brussels and the FA always looks surprised. We are a group of 5-9 people, imagin how they look after the 2nd coming back on board.:D

I have no clue what you are saying.

Congratulations on the run. I hope you continue to enjoy them as
well as the benefits that accrue from your efforts.

United has a double-qualifying-miles promotion that lasts 8 weeks;
the original poster is in the US for 7 weeks, and they all fall between
the middle of April and the middle of June (the DEQM time frame).

Congrats!

Just one other comment, who cares about what the FAs think? It's the spouse/SO you have to explain this strange hobby to.

Congrats on you first MR.

I am in the middle of my ORD-SJC-DEN-ANC-DEN-SFO-ORD (just finish my ORD-SIN the week before), typing this at DEN RCC. I am still debating should I do a MR from ORD-NRT over the Memorial Day weekend. This will push me over to 1k with DEQM. (after the ANC MR I should be at 72k EQM.)

This MR thing is Addictive.

It wasn't a pejorative 'crazy' so there was no offense meant nor taken. She was however quite surprised.

To the posters expressing the addictive nature of all this: YES!

I've assembled 4 MR's to go along with the previously scheduled traveling. Paid domestic for travel in the states to use for C awards back and forth to Asia!!!!

If only I'd have known about this a few years ago :D;)
