Last minute MR - Need 1704 DL MQM for Platinum Medallion

As it turns out, a trip I had planned in Q4 got rescheduled for Q1. I was banking on this trip to get me PM status. It's now the end of year and I'm scrambling for a last minute MR. I need 1,704 miles to hit the 75k.

I've been frantically searching Delta and FC for the past few days and have come up short. I'm fairly flexible.

I live in the greater NYC area so I can fly from LGA, JFK, EWR, HPN. I'd consider BDL or PHL if it meant I could get a good deal and the mileage I need. Or other airports within 100 miles or so from NYC.

I fly a lot of RJ's throughout the year, so I'd prefer the MR to be mainline because of the upgrade opportunities. I don't mind multiple connections (500 MQM minimum segment :D ), and don't mind if some segments are RJ, but would prefer it if some segments weren't, but that's secondary.

In the spirit of mileage runs, I'd like to keep the costs low. Given my situation there's probably little chance that I can get a really good deal. I'd like to spend under $500, but would prefer to keep the budget under $300 if possible.

My preference would be to do 2 longish segments (1000 miles or so each) or 4 shorter segments ~500 miles each all in a single day. I will do an overnight if that's what's available.

Any help from fellow FT'ers is greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays!

If you are willing to gamble on getting out of NYC on 12-31, delta.com is showing some flights JFK to SEA for $378.80. You could depart on 12-31 and return on 1-1. The outbound to SEA will give you more than the needed MQM for 2007 and the return MQM could be used for 2008 qualification.

Celebrate NYE in Seattle. Good luck on the miles.

Start with this and use this to search for specific dates.

I think in your case the easiest thing to do is get 4 short segments with a forced connection in CVG and/or ATL to somewhere on the east coast.

Palal - Thanks for that FT specific FC link. I hadn't come across that one yet.

Tomorrow I fly LGA-CVG-PIT-CVG-LGA. With only a 2 hour layover I don't think I'll be leaving the airport.
