Expertflyer fare question
Hi all,
I was practicing my MR building skills and after looking up a random fare between NYC and SAN I found expertflyer showing the following for an unrestricted (non-filtered) search for all fares between NYC and SAN. NA14SQPN AA Round-Trip 298.00 (USD) 12/12/07 14 NR14SQPN AA Round-Trip 298.00 (USD) 12/12/07 14 NA14PN AA Round-Trip 318.00 (USD) 14 SA7PN AA Round-Trip 358.00 (USD) 07 GA7PN AA Round-Trip 418.00 (USD) 07 VA7PN AA Round-Trip 478.00 (USD) 07 VA3PN AA Round-Trip 538.00 (USD) 03 WA3PN AA Round-Trip 598.00 (USD) 03 WA0PN AA Round-Trip 698.00 (USD) MA0PN AA Round-Trip 798.00 (USD) KA0PN AA Round-Trip 898.00 (USD) KUPP7ZN AA Round-Trip 1074.00 (USD) 07 H26Z AA Round-Trip 1464.00 (USD) KUPPMZ AA Round-Trip 1524.00 (USD) Y26 AA Round-Trip 1724.00 (USD) YUPMZ AA Round-Trip 1824.00 (USD) F26 AA Round-Trip 2524.00 (USD) J26 AA Round-Trip 2524.00 (USD) Y AA Round-Trip 3154.00 (USD) J AA Round-Trip 4124.00 (USD) F263 AA Round-Trip 4918.00 (USD) F AA Round-Trip 5156.00 (USD) As you can see, the lowest fare there is the N fare for $298 When I did the search in ITA for this, I got a good routing that has a different fare code: QR14SQPN When I type that into the code box in EF, nothing comes up. What gives? why doesn't this Q fare load up in EF but shows in ITA and AA? Quick edit: I also tried searching for any fare in Q class code and nothing came up in EF. Thanks in advance for your help. |
EWR is not, technically, a part of the NYC city code, so there is a separate set of AA fares:
[KVS Availability Tool 2.9.2/Platinum - Sabre: Fares/ZUJ/SG/USD] Code:
EWR New York Newark Liberty Int'l NJ US [KEWR] |

Thanks for your help, this makes sense. The odd thing is that the ticket I priced was actually from LGA, so it looks like it may be allowing co-terminals departures from LGA at least.
