New subforum failed to fix the clutter
in the MR forum. I mean, who cares if there is a $2k business class fare from say, MCO to say, Turkey, when it's on Turkey no name air, that earms no miles on any FF program, and requires a 5 day min stay... or a $250 transcon fare requiring a sat overnight and 4 additional day stay?
Can we get some posting guidlines for what constitutes a mileage run and get rid of the good 50% or more posts that offer a $.10 per mile "MR"? Let's get back to the same day turns and single overnights that cost 2-3 cents a mile (or less) folks! |

While I do understand what you're saying there has to be some allowance for MR meaning different things to different FTers, especially those living outside major U.S. cities if not the U.S. altogether. Also try and remember not all of us do immediate turnaround or even one night MR's preferring to make holidays of good fares and earn FFP along the way.
In the spirit of reducing clutter, I don't understand why a thread doesn't get moved to Mileage Run Discussions, as soon as it hits "FARE GONE" status. that would definitely minimize clutter. i mean, the NZ mistake fare (which i was lucky to get in on) happened 5 months ago, but it's still taking up space (almost 300 pages of posts) on page 1 of Mileage Run Deals. |
