Mistake Fares: I Pledge Not to Call the Airlines

By acknowledging this thread I conceed the following facts to be true:

I care about the members of Flyertalk and our mutual travel desire.

I realize that calling an airline, hotel or third party travel provider while a "mistake fare" or "rate " is in play, I may jeapordize the opportunity for others to take advantage of the "DEAL".

In the spirit of these facts: I hereby pledge I will NOT contact by phone, email, in person or by another other means the airline, hotel or other travel providers involved in a MISTAKE FARE as long as other members are finding the MISTAKE FARE still available.

I pledge any answers I personally need to further clarify an active "fare or rate mistake" will be asked here on the boards, and I will NOT resort to contacting the airlines, hotels or third party travel providers.

I would rather miss out on a particular deal than effect the ability of others to participate. (there will always be another deal)

I further pledge to promote this action with other FT members in hopes that we all will benefit.

This is my pledge to you.

INGY

CAN YOU, and WILL YOU make the same pledge? by responding "I Pledge"
OR
Are you going to say: "No, I will rat the group out for my own benefit"

We've done a lot of talking and posting.
Can you now make a committment, one way or the other??

After 8900+ views and 212 to date pledges only reoccuring theme seems to be what to "call" them. "JUMBO" has been suggested as a means of eliminating google search intrusion.

I have no standing whatesoever with FT, other than regular member that wants this problem to go away. As such, (and as part of my pledge) to spread the word, I have contacted posters to clarify their positions. Only post #202 was hostile to the idea. Others that have been contacted may not agree with pledge, or think it won't work, but at least indicated thay would not call. YMMV

If you get a chance-- Spread the WORD
I personally appreciate the other "signatures" added by members as reminders

This is Rule #1.

We should all follow it in the MR forum. I do, and will.

I pledge not to call while any "deal" is still in play and for 48hrs afterwards. (Unless travel is in that 48 hr window.)

I pledge! I may not post often, but I read often. And I'm smart enough to keep my mouth shut and not call an airline. Great thread.

I also pledge (though not entirely sure what the revisions are). In any event, I WILL NOT CALL an airline while a mistake is in play.

I pledge.

Common sense. I wouldn't have thought this was necessary, but time and time again I've been proven wrong.
