My Schedule also changed but and now I won't be able to make the SFO - LAX connection(lands in SFO an hour after the LAX departure). I accepted anyways, will they update the connecting flight automatically or will I need to contact them closer to departure?

I disagree. While I would not personally make non-refundable reservations or plans I think the airline has to reimburse out of pocket expenses. Given that the definition is pretty broad it would cover a lot of things - "These expenses include, but are not limited to, non-refundable hotel reservations, destination tour packages or activities, cancellation fees for non-refundable connecting air travel and visa or other international travel fees. The airline may ask the consumer requesting out-of-pocket expenses to provide evidence (i.e. receipts or proof of cancellations) of actual costs incurred by the consumer. In essence, the airline or seller of air transportation is required to make the consumer “whole” by restoring the consumer to the position he or she was in prior to the purchase of the mistaken fare."

Likely would have to deal with LH as the ticketing carrier for me, and that in itself is not really worth the time and effort but others may not feel the same and although it takes ages you will prevail.

Anyone reached out to UA/LH regarding a schedule change with these yet?

I am booked FRA-LHR-EWR with only 60 mins connection in LHR between LH and UA - which I know is impossible.

United proactively reached out to me about my likely misconnect on another ticket (TLV) for this month but nothing yet for this trip.

I haven't reached out yet either.

My LHR --- SFO --- LAX won't make the SFO connection after the schedule change. Not sure when would be a good time to reach out(December travel).

You should reach out wrt schedule changes, in particular if on 220 tickets since LH has the nasty habit of cancelling things when you don't respond.

The dust on that one has settled

I reached out this morning and was rebooked free of charge on a Nonstop flight to LAX. Looks like this ticket is safe...

I flew mine this past weekend. SFO-LHR-YVR-SFO on UA/AC/UA. Three others were with me. Everything was fine. If they were going to do anything, it would have happened months ago.

Did you reach out to LH or UA? And via what contact method?

UA told me to go screw and talk to LH. And LH wanted $2000 to change the ticket. I did not have a schedule change, but have an unruly 70 min connection in LHR.

Always the ticketing airline, and if it's a voluntary change, you pay change fee plus fare difference, as always.

so you booked a 70 min connection (which is perfectly fine) and now you want to change it for free . Thats not going to happen
