Thanks, was able to get MXP-LHR-CLT-BNA, then months later HNL-DFW, next day DFW-LHR-ARN $1900. Price was showing much higher on Google trying HNL-ARN without adding in DFW

Booked a ZRH-LHR-SEA r/t (BA codeshare) for $2,000. The lowest it has been in a while. Thank you to the OP.

like with any fare, if you rebook before departure, it gets recalculated to the current fares + pricing
If you rebook after taking the first flight(s), it gets priced with historical pricing, meaning if D class is still available and no other restriction is violated (min. / max stay, season, ...), then you don't pay any fare difference

Received an email yesterday from AA, requesting me to call the customer service center due to a flight change. Was rather nervous at first, as I was afraid the booking might have been cancelled, but when looking at the itinerary, it turned out that due to a schedule change at BA my connection STR-LHR rescheduled. Did a little research first, and found out that there were no good options at that day from my origin (3-4 stops, only narrow-body in the US, …). I took this as an opportunity to look for a new and better connection as I was already frustrated that I didn’t book an open jaw instead of flying to and from HNL.

End of story: after a short and very friendly phone call I’m now booked FRA-DFW-OGG (all 787) instead of STR-LHR-PHX-HNL.
