Cheapest lie-flats from East of the Mississippi & Canada to Hawaii?
Just playing around some departure airports for two J/F seats to HNL over Christmas break. I can fly from my home airport (IND) but there are no lie-flats available, and when I look at the flights I used to take regularly (CO/UA from EWR) the prices have really gotten out of hand.
Any ideas about a departure point to which I could easily position?
Thanks!
P.S. I dont care about the airline, AA flies with one stop from IND but its all recliner seat in each direction. I need my beauty rest.

Canada is almost always a LOT cheaper. EWR connections won't work outbound, but usually ORD out and EWR back is not that hard to get. Check google flights for Canada airports near you ...

I swear BUD-HNL is easier, just takes too long. Definitely east of the Mississippi though 😁

That was actually my first thought - but the prices are bonkers. Youre basically paying full fare intl J prices for AA domestic service and a bed. My mother just flew AA J to Europe and later complained to me how THAT wasnt worth it, so I cant imagine paying $6K+ for their domestic J.
Who else flies lie-flats to HNL?
I can only think of UA ex-EWR, HA ex-BOS? And DL ex-ATL. Am I missing anybody?
(Its been over ten years since I left Hawaii after the Great Recession, and finally decided to go back, but am now green where it comes to flights to the islands).
