[PREM FARE GONE] LH/LA - GRU-FRA - 293 EUR one-way / 1413 EUR roundtrip - Business

There are several options here, all on a combination of flights from Lufthansa and LATAM. Google Flights is displaying a roundtrip flight from FRA to GRU departing on Nov 21 and returning on Dec 8 for 1488 EUR. When you select the outbound flight (FRA-FCO-GRU) Google reprices the return flights to over 2.2k EUR, so I thought I'd dig around ITA Matrix to see if I could complete the itinerary at 1488 EUR.

The cheapest itinerary I have been able to find with ITA Matrix is 1528 EUR for a roundtrip flight connecting in Rome in both directions, but you're welcome to keep digging.

After looking at the list of taxes and fees on ITA Matrix I noticed that the base fare for FRA to GRU is 1045 EUR, but the base fare for the return flight, GRU to FRA is 254 EUR, which seems incredibly low!

So, there are several options here -

GRU-FCO-FRA - 293 EUR one-way
GRU-FCO-FRA-FCO-GRU - 1413 EUR (roundtrip flight GRU-FRA)
FRA-FCO-GRU-FCO-FRA - 1528 EUR (roundtrip flight FRA-GRU)

EDIT - I have been trying to get a non-stop itinerary to work, which doesn't seem to work, but there are many other connection options besides FCO. Just a few to list FCO, BOG, HEL, MXP, MAD, BCN, CDG, LHR, LIS, etc. When searching ITA Matrix just tell it to return LA flights and it'll display all the codeshare flights. The destination must remain FRA, however.

You can also book one-way, FRA-GRU, but that will be priced at its normal price, so I'm omitting it.

The only available dates are in November and December of 2023. You will have to book with an OTA, not the LA, LH or LX website - they reprice to the normal price. Kayak and Momondo both returned a list of OTA's. Expedia will display the "correct" (low) fare.

Im glad its standard to flag these OTA-only deals at the get-go, as I personally always ignore them in preference of deals which airlines websites themselves offer. However I certainly commend those braver than me that play OTA-roulette!

Very interested in this but I cant find my dates. I have a one way business class flight to GRU from BCA in late August. I had planned to fly back to London on a one way flight from MCO in PE in late September or early October but this would suit me way better. Sadly, the earliest date I can find is November the 14th at 266. Great find if anyone can take advantage

Yeah, the fare rules won't let you book something that early in the year.

VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 15OCT 23. ALL TRAVEL
MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT ON 15DEC 23.

hate to be that guy, but you are gonna fly from an airport in Cuba to GRU? woah. :P
but this fare is mostly in theory. Cannot be found in a vast majority of cases, and even when it can be found, the dodgy OTA is gonna make it way more trouble than it is worth. Theoretically, a rt fare exists by LA in Z fare bucket, but its fare rules contradict with the outbound as well. Theoretically, you can also get stopovers in places like PRG, MUC, MXP, MAD, etc. This entire thing smells off. Book at your own peril.

Not sure where Cuba comes into this. Further searches turned up the 15th October as the earliest date (cheers Cruser1) and Ive booked with booking.com
Worth a risk to book with an OTA at that price. HRH wont stay for the extra two weeks or so and is still gonna fly PE from MCO so Ive got 2 weeks to myself. Great result all round !

Just double checking you're aware Booking is usually just an agent and your actual OTA is likely someone else like Go2Gate?

Probably still true regardless of who it is. 😁

Also people do remember this is a LATAM fare. They have a history of not honouring fares.
