Yup. Had the same happen to me due to the SFO weather and the plane not taking off from SFO. Despite about 15 different calls to UA, they weren't able to re-book me on the SQ non-stops, despite space being available on the SQ website, as SQ wouldn't sell the space to UA, apparently. I ended up getting re-booked the following morning leaving at 6:40 on ANA SIN-NRT-SFO.

I did SFO-SIN in January (on a much more expensive ticket than this), and yes, the sundae is served. It is a long flight, but Polaris was more comfortable than I expected it would be.
I flew CGK-NRT-SFO on the way back and thought that UA was more comfortable (hard product) than NH. The service was about the same on both carriers and the food was fine but not amazing on both as well.

same about the food. Admittedly, DL isn’t doing any better in their onboard D1 culinary delights and AA slightly better. Though the new Soho & Chelsea lounges @ JFK that AA recently opened are very nice, especially Chelsea.
This is the intoxicating view I had next to my seat on the UA Polaris 76W:

I don’t think that Polaris cabin has been cleaned since UA installed it several years ago. This was N666UA (which I believe was UA’s first 76W to get the Polaris cabin).

Yuck. Gross. Delta's food -- which was fantastic before the pandemic -- has been beyond bad during the pandemic. They switched to a much cheaper caterer, eliminated the appetizer, reduced portion size of soup by 1/3, and removed the dessert cart. As a result of the catering shift, meals have been wretched. It tastes like Economy food. The wine for the first year of the pandemic was only one white and one red and subpar quality. At the 2nd year of the pandemic the wine still remained one of each but the quality of wine returned. Now they're back to 2 of white and 2 of red and normal quality in Delta ONE.
I did, however, fly to Peru in January and it was the first time since the pandemic that Delta ONE food actually tasted good. So maybe they were able to go with a better caterer now that they're making a profit again? Who knows. But it was a NOTICEABLE improvement. I still miss the appetizer and ice cream/dessert cart. But i hear the dessert cart in Delta ONE is starting back either this month or next month. Don't know if they'll bring back the app course. Probably will eventually. I'm flying out again to Peru in Delta ONE in 3 weeks, so i can report back on the dessert cart and again on the food.
I have a flight the next week to Morocco but that's on Air France. Will be interesting to see how their food is now compared with Delta's food now. We will see!

I stopped flying UA since 2009. I will continue to stay clear of it!
