Well, technically (advance) equip change is the same as cancellation because the airline needs to cancel out the flight in the GDS and put it in again, resulting in a cancelled segment in all reservations. Now it's of course debatable whether this is "nonoperation of a scheduled flight" but, again, technically, it's a cancellation and I think comp options should be similar as they are for cancellations (with the fare diff refund if booked travel class is no longer available).

When they swap equip at the gate is a different thing of course, so are invol downgrades both of which are supposed to be covered by the Reg.

I just called Latam US office because I don't speak Spanish, apparently the agent had no idea of what I was talking about, and claimed that the ticket was already refunded so there's nothing he can do. I purchased the ticket through Mytrip but the agent told me to call Super Saver at 7123228778. Is filing a case on Latam an easier way?

They speak English on the other numbers too. Tell them to check the notes on the PNR from the 8th July and ask them to proceed from there (presuming you are ok with traveling in Y now)

Just called the Latam Chile agent, told him to check the PNR notes from July 8, also informed him of "Protocol del 8 de Julio". He told me that my coupon status is "refunded" not "ok", so I am not eligible for being reissued a ticket, is that true?

Hello Gents.. Did anyone purchase the usd350 through mytrip.com?

i am happy that i have gotten a refund, however extremely unhappy that i was charged a refund fee. The cancellation was initiated by the latam, and i do not think charging a refund fee is right.

The agent said it was charged by latam and there was nothing they can do. Would anyone be able to provide any insights on that, and/or any contacts through to latam to check? Thanks heaps!

Hey guys! I'm new in the forum, I've read the cases of the Iberia 1K flight business flights in here. My ticket was issued in June, and now I got the email that they downgraded me and they're not willing to re-issue back in Business. Only refund or flight in economy cabin. I have a flight after that one, so I can't really cancel it. How should I proceed to make a complain in Spain? AESA? OCU? I don't know how to fill a complain as they are not willing to do anything claiming it was a fare error in the website. (Which we shouldn't be responsible at all). I've called several times, stating I have the e-ticket and several email confirmations but they are really stubborn. What do you think? Thanks!

I purchased 2 trips through mytrip.com (billed as FLIGHT NETWORK UK), both got refunded in full.

I think that if we join forces and make a joint complaint to "consumo" it is more effective.

what cannot be possible is that due to an error beyond our control they offer us 25% in a voucher (Latam has been much more fair in that sense, offering 75%) Iberia has reacted months later than latam (with all the associated expenses that this may imply for us)

edited: they reinstated business to me but I received an email yesterday with my tickets again in economy

no, but you would need to pay for your new ticket to LATAM directly. HUCA

zzzz what double standards…

Mine was billed by mytrip_us. Would that make a difference? I have raised this to latam. Just want to know the truth as to who charged the refund fees..

So our recursos were not granted by the court. Instead the court said the decision should be made in a joint hearing. I asked the lawyer how long that would take and he said about one month (!). I was expecting a year or two… So this could get interesting.

Got my call today from a Madrid number.. offering same as noted.. I had a $1k ticket. Told them I needed everything in writing, I wasn't accepting any other other than retaining my J seat. Asked to escalate/reconsider since it was 45d since booking and I have built plans around this ticket. Said nothing he could do, that this issue has already been escalated many times. The guy was just the messenger. Flight isn't until May so I have time to see how this plays out for folks with $1k tickets purchased through IB
